BÁNH BAKERY exists because every great recipe starts with a story.

We’re a Vietnamese-American brother-sister duo who grew up in a home where the kitchen was the heart of everything. Our mom always dreamed of opening a café where people could gather and feel at home.

BÁNH BAKERY is our way of continuing her story, shaped by the flavors we grew up with.

In Vietnamese, “bánh” means cake, but it’s just the start. Paired with other words, it can describe anything from a savory dumpling to a delicate pastry, a sticky rice treat to a crusty baguette. That open definition reflects who we are: rooted in tradition, yet inspired by flavors we grew up loving. Think toasted coconut pandan, inspired by the beloved pandan waffle, or Vietnamese coffee, inspired by a classic cà phê sữa đá.

Every batch is made to order. You can find us at pop-ups and events across the Bay Area, take on catering for your next gathering, or order online for local pickup in Sunnyvale.
